K.1 The Basic Owner Prestige System
The Owner Prestige system will be the second RPG element and probably most unique thing in any Fantasy league you join. The prestige system will award prestige points (PP) for various achievements, activities, and voted on awards. The prestige rankings will then either help or hurt you in the free agency market.
Most of these new rules are designed to make free agency much more dynamic than just outbidding another owner. Hopefully through the prestige, awards, and tier systems, Legion 2.0 will create the most exciting off-season league out there. As well as creating goals within the season to keep people slightly more interested. All points will rollover from one season to the next.
Points will be awarded as follows:
- Winning Season: 1 PP
- Losing Season: -1 PP
- Most Points in a single week (after all 12 weeks are played): 1 PP
- Least points in a single week (after all 12 weeks are played): -1 PP
- Most points in a season (Greatest Show On Turf Award): 2 PP
- Least points in a season: -1 PP
- Make the Playoffs: 1 PP
- Win 1st Round Playoff Game: .5 PP
- Playoff Hero Award: 1 PP
- Win Division Title: 2 PP
- Win Semi-Finals: 1 PP
- Win Super Bowl: 3 PP
- Each player voted to Pro Bowl (Legion PB not real life): .5 PP each
- Player wins Legion rookie of the year award: 1 PP
- Player wins Legion MVP award: 1 PP
- Win Legion Owner of the year award: 2 PP
- Player Inducted to the Hall of Fame: 2 PP
- 3 winning seasons in a row: 2 PP
- 3 losing seasons in a row: -2 PP
- Most players suspended in a season: -1 PP
- Vote in every league poll (including non-Mandatory): 2 PP
- Any missed deadline posted by the commish: -1 PP
- Most trades in a season: 1 PP
- Most Free Agent Signings in a season (start of RFA through the end of actual games, excludes year one): 1 PP
- Player Growth points: .1 PP per net tiers players move up in season (calculated by subtracting down tier players from up tier players, sum is x.1PP per positve net tier, no - PP's though. For example if you have players up 12 tiers total and down 5 then you would get .7 PP (12-5 = 7 x .1 = .7PP), or if you had 4 up and 10 down you would get 0 PP)
- Per Trade you are involved in: .2 PP (to help motivate trades)
- Defensive Team of the Year (AKA the Steel Curtain),(most points scored by a defense for the season): 1 PP
- Moneyball Award: 1 PP, Given to any team that makes the playoffs with a bottom 4 salary usage at the end of week 13 games.
- Weekly Achievment Award: .25PP, 14 through the season given for meeting a weekly performance metric.
K.2 Prestige Point Rewards
What the prestige points get you:
- Top 1 gets a 5% discount on Free Agent Salaries
- #2-3 get a 4% discount on Free Agent Salaries
- #4-7 get a 3% discount on Free Agent Salaries
- #8-11 get a 2% discount on Free Agent Salaries
*Discounts will round down
This system is designed to help emulate that a team that has a long running dynasty that is successful over many years would be able to lure Free agents easier than those who don't. Some of the points are designed to help keep the league active. The System ranks will be updated on the 1st of every month and lock for that month.
